šMeet the most mello, gorgeous girl! Carmella is the perfect size, sheās a smaller version of a tote bag so you can carry her all day without a backache but still fit allllll those essentials!Ā This versatileĀ girl is a either a larger purse or a smaller tote, but either way, sheās the perfect amount of awesome.
She has a full size pocket of tooled, hand painted flowers on the front with thistles, daisies and more. Inside is another full sized pocket to make important items like your phone easy to grab!Ā
All her hardware is in an antiqued brass finish. She has an adjustable strap that ranges from a shoulder length of 30ā to a crossbody length of 45ā. The beautiful woven ribbon is sewn on a thick, supple cream colored cotton webbing for extra strength and durability. It has the most vintage, retro design that totally reminds me of an awesome guitar strap from the 60s and 70s! The first photo shows the strap at itās shortest length, the second shows it at itās longest, from shoulder to crossbody!
The body of the bag was hand dyed in Italy and itās the most delicious caramel color, it really reminds me of the gorgeous leathers from the 70s that my mom would wearš
šMeasurements: The body of the bag measures 11ā wide, 4ā deep and 10.5ā tall.Ā The strap is 1.5ā wide and adjusts from 30ā to 45ā
šHow do I care for my handmade leather pieces?š
Why isn't your leather waterproof?
All leather is a natural skin, it retains moisture, gets dry and can warp and crack without proper care.. Just like us ;)
For our tooled and painted vegetable tan pieces we use only the best eco & health conscious finishing products - eco-flo environmentally safe stains and varnishes. These varnishes are water-resistant but by no means waterproof.
For any of our pieces, remove before bathing, swimming, showering or hand washing. if your piece does happen to get a splash on it, blot it dry with a soft absorbent cloth immediately in order to lessen any adverse affects, then condition.
On all pieces, I add a conditioning creme to keep it supple and flexible. This is a wax based polish that really helps protect the piece from the elements.
You will want to condition your pieces over time as the coats I've applied wear away. You can use conditioning cremes like Fiebing's Aussie Leather Conditioner to keep your pieces supple and to rejuvenate them... This cream is a combination of natural and synthetic wax emulsions (with bees wax) and does an amazing job!
